Who is Keiji Inafune? Keiji-san is a japanese video game illustrator and producer exploring the web3 space with new intellectual property (IP) project to share.

Keiji Inafune is a Japanese video game producer, illustrator, and businessman. He is best known for his work on the Mega Man series, which he co-created and produced for many years. Moreover, he is known for the Onimusha series and produced the Dead Rising series.

Keiji revealed that as an innovation-embracing person, he jumps into Web3 to challenge himself to do something he has never done. Also, he is an avid believer in the immense potential of blockchain technology. Hence, he launches Beastroid on Web3 with Minnapad.

In his recent “ask me anything” (AMA), he expressed how excited he is to collaborate and work with the DAO pre-sale members. Who is Keiji Inafune?

Natively, Keiji is from Kishiwada, Osaka, Japan. He studied at the Osaka Designer Gakuin School of Design, graduating in 1987. Then, after graduation, he joined Capcom, a electronic game manufacturer since 1979. In fact, his first Street Fighter game is his first project at Capcom. Thanks to Keiji, we now know the iconic character of Chun-Li, a character he designed.

Next, Inafune got to work with the Mega Man series, which he co-created with Akira Nishino. Undeniably, Mega Man became a huge success. Afterward, Inafune produced many more games in the series. He also created the Onimusha series, which was a blend of action and role-playing games.

In 2010, Inafune left Capcom to found his own studio, Comcept. Comcept’s first game was Mighty No. 9, a spiritual successor to the Mega Man series. Mighty No. 9 was a crowdfunding success but met with mixed reviews.

Luckily, Inafune has continued to work on a variety of projects since leaving Capcom. He has worked on games for Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo. He has also written a book about his career titled “Changing Your Destiny: The Inafune Way.”

Now, here are some of Keiji Inafune’s most notable works: Mega Man (1987), Mega Man 2 (1988), Mega Man 3 (1990), Onimusha: Warlords (2001), Dead Rising (2006), and Mighty No. 9 (2016).
